Hear Oscar Isaac's Finished Voice In New X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette

Not so Ivan Ooze now.

I've got a feeling Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse is going to be pretty badass. The first look at the character in an Entertainment Weekly cover story didn't do a great job of selling the First Mutant, looking more like Ivan Ooze than the ultimate doomgiver, sure, but after that terribly coloured filtered image, the marketing has done an excellentjob of making him look like an imposing force to be reckoned with. And it keeps getting better.

Fox have just released a new featurette for X-Men: Apocalypse that puts the focus on En Sabuh Nur's Four Horsemen. It's not anything explosive, mostlyrepeating footage from previous trailers with the actors explaining basic comic background, but it does still contain a couple of really exciting snippets about Storm, Angel, Psylocke and Magneto's master.

Firstly, there's a cool wide shot of Apocalypse choking Mystique from near the end of the film, showing another X-Man at his feet (Beast? A wingless Angel?), although what really stands out is a new line recording from Isaac; his delivery of "Everything they've built will fall and from the ashes of their world, we'll build a better one" is much much deeper, bolder and imposing than the version from the first trailer, which was presumably Isaac's raw, on-set take.

Besides being pretty cool, it shows that we've not had a proper, finished look at the character. Maybe hold back on those Power Rangers jokes fornow.

X-Men: Apocalypse is in UK cinemas from 19th May and US cinemas from 27th May.
