It's pretty depressing that it's only May 25th and it already feels like the Summer blockbuster season is over for another year. Or maybe, more accurately - the season has gone into hibernation until mid-July when Inception is unleashed upon us, before quickly petering out again until late Sep/early Oct when the awards season kicks into gear. I hate feeling left out during the tentpole season but Sex and the City, The A-Team, The Karate Kid etc, just aren't made for my sensibilites. I just can't shut my brain off THAT much to enjoy a movie, unfortunately. Jonah Hex was originally my thing, but they seem to have destroyed everything that made that comic enjoyable and it could be the biggest summer foul-up of a great cast since the last IndianaJones movie. So are well all in for Inception, all our chips betting on this one hand? Is that our only play this Summer? The Playlist have pointed me towards some character one-sheets, all of which reveal the roles of the main players... Leonardo DiCaprio is The Extractor; Cillian Murphy is The Mark; Ellen Page is The Architect; Marion Cotillard is The Shade; Ken Watanabe is The Tourist; Joseph Gordon-Levitt is The Point Man and Tom Hardy is The Forger.
