Iron Man 3 Press Conference Highlights: Will Iron Man 4 Happen? Would Robert Downey Jr Direct A Marvel Movie?

By David Pustansky /

After The Avengers the world truly became a different place, not only for the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also in the landscape of Hollywood. Having seen the success, not only of The Avengers movie, but also of the approach Marvel took to building up their franchises and linking them all together, it€™s made a big wave in the thinking of writers and directors everywhere. Star Wars will now have a flurry of movies out with some movies focused on single characters, and the Justice League will...well who knows what the hell is happening with that, but the point is The Avengers Assemble made a big difference to cinema. A year later and the first post Avengers movie from Marvel is upon us, and franchise that really set the whole Avengers ball rolling, it€™s Iron Man 3. A couple of days ago I was in attendance at the Iron Man 3 Press Conference to get all the thoughts, dirt and juice about the film, and plans for future Marvel movies. In this video of highlights from the press conference we see the stars have fun as they€™re grilled by press, try not to give any spoilers away (Damn them) and deal with the usual array of strange questions they always get asked at these things. http://youtu.be/N7d6LMadROo As you€™ll see in the video I tell Iron Man I have a man crush on him. Since they€™d been instructed not to give any hints or spoilers from the film and weren€™t talking gossip from Avengers 2 (Didn€™t stop me trying to get some thoughts though) I figured €˜What the hell, I may as well do something memorable.€™ In an update on that story, it€™s been three days, and Robert Downey Jr still hasn€™t called. Bastard. If you missed them, please check out my other recent articles with vids of an interview with Mark Harris about new film The Broken, and similar reviews of 21 And Over, the new movie from the writers of The Hangover, Oblivion starring Tom Cruise, and Olympus Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler. Coming up shortly I€™ll have an exclusive video interview with Mathieu Kassovitz (Actor in Amélie, Munich and director or Gothika and Babylon AD) about his new film Rebellion. In a couple of weeks I€™ll be covering Star Trek Into Darkness so be sure to check that out and anything else in between. In the meantime check out the video and please share, rate, retweet and post your comments below!
