The last we heard on The Punisher 2 was that Thomas Jane had pulled out of the movie and the hunt was on to find a new director and lead star. Superhero Hype are reporting the name who they believe is the front runner to direct the picture... Hooligans director Lexi Alexander. If this turns out to be true, then by my reckoning this is the first time a woman has directed a big comic book movie... although I could be wrong. No word yet on who will play Frank Castle. The site has also got word from Canada.com that shooting for the film may take place in Montreal.
