James Mangold also taking up time travel
Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma director James Mangold is the latest high profile filmmaker to strike a deal for a time travel movie. This time it's with Universal after he was offered the job of directing a pitch/script from Proof playwright and The Lake House (which also touched on time travel) scribe David Auburn. The movie is titled The Archive. And that's all we know at this point. Mangold has been looking for a new project since he wrapped work on his Western. He held talks for The Wolf Man remake, a gig which eventually went to Joe Johnston. He also made a deal in March to direct Cyclops, an adaptation of a science fiction graphic novel at Warner Bros. source - variety
