Johnny Storm finds another comic book movie

By Matt Holmes /

Although he plays the cocky "asshole" character very well and is so damn good at being unlikeable, FANTASTIC FOUR and SUNSHINE actor Chris Evans has become one of my favourite young thesps to watch on screen these days. Watch his performance in SUNSHINE, his change in emotion as the situation gets worse and worse. That wonderful scene where they are trying to figure out which one of them will stay behind, effectively sacrificing themselves early on in the picture. He's so good at playing the panic when that mask of immortality comes off, all his confidence disappears. AICN have the exclusive scoop that Edgar Wright has cast Evans for his next movie SCOT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, which seems to be fully ramping up to it's production start in March. He will play the skateboarder/movie star Lucas Lee and a nasty piece of work ex-boyfriend to Romona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Ramona is the object of affection for our lead Scot Pilgrim (Michael Cera), who must fight all her ex-boyfriends after becoming her latest squeeze. Also joining the cast is relative newcomer Ellen Wong who is playing Knives Chau. Earlier this week Kieran Culkin was also cast for the picture.
