Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 12 Stupidest Moments In The Dumbest Jurassic Park Movie Ever
You thought the worst was over.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is out now in the vast majority of Europe - over two weeks before the U.S. release to avoid clashing with the World Cup - and the critical response has settled in mixed-positive territory, much like its 2015 predecessor.
However, much like Jurassic World, the general audience response to Fallen Kingdom is sure to be far more divisive and polarising than that of critics. This is a franchise that fans hold incredibly dear, and sadly, the fifth movie is yet another uninspired - if fitfully entertaining - sequel.
It's not without its moments, largely due to the efforts of director J.A. Bayona, but it's nevertheless tough to shake the staggering stupidity of Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly's script.
At best it's a lazy rehash of The Lost World with an added side order of crazy, and while less-demanding audiences might accept the low-effort dinosaur mayhem on offer, it's mind-boggling that such a potential-filled franchise has turned in four frustratingly undercooked sequels in a row.
There's sure to be plenty of debate among fans as to Fallen Kingdom's place in the franchise, but considering some of the braindead curve-balls Trevorrow and Connolly throw at audiences here, this just might be the most inane Jurassic Park movie yet.
And remember, this is in a franchise where a gymnast has dropkicked a raptor and a sat-phone's ringtone has been inexplicably audible inside the stomach of a Spinosaurus...
