Kingsman 2: So Colin Firth Definitely Is Back, Then

The reports of his death might be greatly exaggerated.

So much for the sanctity of the twist.

Thanks to an Instagram post by former Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal, we now know - pretty much without a shadow of a doubt - that Colin Firth's Harry Hart will be returning for the Kingsman sequel. That's despite the fact that he ate a bullet from point blank range in the first movie.

The post shows Pascal hiding behind Firth's shoulder, with the latter in full Hart costume.

There's a possibility of a flashback sequence, of course, but there have long been rumours of a resurrection for the character in the sequel, and it definitely wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for him to have somehow beat the reaper. He doesn't appear to have a massive scar in the middle of his face, so maybe we're looking at a clone, or the real Hart after a decoy was killed in the original?

The manner of his return will for now remain a secret, but there is definitely a chance that Hart will only feature as part of a flashback establishing a relationship between The Kingsman and American counterpart The Statesman, or with The Golden Circle itself. That would certainly be a lot easier to take than a Chev Chelios style "he got better" sort of twist.

But then that wouldn't be as fun, would it?
