Kristen Stewart's recent movie choices continue to convey a sense that the actress is searching for projects as far removed from her most famous role as she can possible find. As well as the final part in the 'Twilight Saga' still to come, Stewart already has very different and diverse roles booked this year, first playing the more kick-ass than we've seen before version of Snow White in this summer's 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and then later as Marylou in Walter Salles' adaptation of Jack Kerouac's most celebrated work 'On The Road'. She has certainly done as much as she can to seemingly distance herself as much as she can from Bella Swann. That trend looks set to continue with news coming from Variety that Stewart has just signed on to headline the action flick 'Cali' for Voltage Productions and New School Media. Written by '30 Minutes or Less' screenwriter Michael Diliberti, the story features Stewart as Mya who along with her boyfriend Chris, fakes her own death via a snuff film and takes off into the sunset with a whole bundle of cash. Years later, Mya must return home to save the younger sister she left behind in Cali, where the young couple must contend with various disgruntled and disagreeable sorts including former business partners, homicidal porn stars, stoner vet techs, an unstoppable killing machine in a cowboy hat and their own contentious relationship. The project is currently out to directors, with a plan to begin shooting towards the end of summer. Diliberti will produce along with Craig J. Flores and Zev Foreman with Brian Levy and Nicolas Chartier executive producing. Diliberti has several projects in development, including 'Little White Corvette' at GK films with Emma Stone attached to star as well as a project with 'Crazy Stupid Love' directors, John Requa and Glen Ficarra with Simon Kinberg producing .
