Even with only a few months left before Netflix release the latest in their line of critically acclaimed Marvel shows, not a great deal is known about Luke Cage. We know Mike Colter is back obviously, and that he's joined by an excellent supporting cast that includes the likes of Alfre Woodard, Erik LaRay Harvey, Frankie Faison andMahershala Ali, but in terms of plot, there's little to go on.

It seems we're going to be exploring Power Man's backstory and he's existing relationships with villains Diamondback and Cottonmouth, and we've finally got a first look at one of the two thanks to set leaks from the New York shoot.

Diamondback - or Willis Stryker to his mother - is traditionally a pretty normal looking thug, rocking a snake skin jacket to fit his name and with slightly serpentine features. The show, however will see him given a pretty major make-over, with a particularly Reichy looking jumpsuit and a helmet that looks an awful lot like The Atom's headwear from DC's Legends Of Tomorrow, but with a red visor.

It's a good look for a villain, though it's somewhat strange that they've chosen to go a bit more theatrical for Luke Cage's show, when it was pretty much assumed his would be the most realistic of The Defenders solo outings.

In the comics, Diamondback and Cage start as friends before they clash over Power Man's girlfriend and Diamondback sets him up and sends him off to prison where he gets his power. Presumably we're going to see the same storyline in the show.
