Mad Max: Fury Road - 8 Things We Learned From The Trailer

We're riding out tonight to case the promised land...

A sequel nearly thirty years in the making (surprisingly not the longest we've waited) is...well, it's still not here, actually. In fact Mad Max: Fury Road isn't due out until next year, but we've finally got our first proper glimpse at what the fourth film in the series will look like thanks to a three minute trailer unveiled at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con. Which is more about films now, but when those films involve Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron messing up face-painted lunatics in a dystopian future Australian desert, you can't really complain, can you?We learned a lot of cool stuff at Comic-Con this year, but we reckon the weekend really belonged to the mad. It's been a long time since George Miller has been in the Outback, and it doesn't look like things have gotten any better out there. Which is all the better for us, cos it means that we're promised another film full of crazy, over-the-top action, poorly thought out hairstyles, and 100% less anti-semitism thanks to Tom Hardy replacing Mel Gibson in the title role. The trailer received rapturous applause when it debuted in Hall H at San Diego, and Warner Bros wasted no time in getting that bad boy online. Which suits us, because now we can go in deep, analyse this new trailer frame-by-frame, and tell you everything we learn from it about Mad Max: Fury Road. Not Thunder Road, which we keep wanting to call it. Sorry, Boss.
