MASSIVE PARAMOUNT COCK-UP - here's a status leak of all projects they are developing...

By Matt Holmes /

The Wrap have supposedly got their hands on an entire 'in-development' studio leak from Paramount, which if it's legit (it clearly is as it lists the new Jack Bender/J.J. Abrams movie 7 Minutes in Heaven which has just officially been announced), gives us a very immediate idea as to the status of ALL projects in development right now at a major Hollywood shingle. Or at least the status correct at the time it was written. [note: the date when written is actually given away in the piece. It is likely to be from Aug 10th ish as it mentions Au Revoir was 'a book they bought just yesterday', which we heard about a week ago from Deadline.] Highlights then from the press release; Kathryn Bigelow's Triple Frontier - This is her 'Traffic' style drugs movie set at the intersection of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina - which is written by Mark Boal, and will have the same 'raw and visceral visual style' as their Oscar winning The Hurt Locker. We've known for a while that Bigelow had met with Penn, Bardem & Bale (Smith is a new one) and Denzel Washington has also reportedly circled the movie but it's nice to hear the Dec/January production date is legit. Christian Bale just recently pulled out of Terrence Malick's new movie (replaced by Ben Affleck), so maybe it was to star in this before he puts on the cape and cowl for Batman once again? Helluva cast, if she can get it. My Mother's Curse - This one has been brewing for a while and we figured it would never actually happen, but here's a left-field comedy from Seth Rogen that could seriously catch-on with the public. He'll play the son of Barbra Streisand in a road movie (yup, Rogen & Streisand - wow ) as an inventor who attempts to reunite his mother with a long lost love of her life. Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) directs for a November start. G.I. Joe 2 is happening with Stephen Sommers amazingly. David Chase's Twilight Zones, I think, is a a music-driven coming-of-age story set in the 1960s that he has been trying to crack for a while. Is the new Jack Ryan movie now simply known as Jack Ryan rather than Moscow? Pretty cool that Jack Bender is getting the upgrade from Lost to a big feature film. Love the John Fusco put down on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that they are panicking over replacing him with a new writer quickly. Not enjoyable reading for Fusco over his cereal this morning.
