Matt Damon might return for more Bourne
But only if Paul Greengrass returns and probably not for a few years yet.
This is the second time Matt Damon has come out with a quote like this, leading us to believe that Matt Damon has not 100% turned his back on the Jason Bourne character just yet.

"Personally, the character means a lot to me because the character has done so much for my career. You know, it put me in the position where I have a lot more choices of kind of movies I want to make," he said in Tokyo. "If ['The Bourne Supremacy' and 'The Bourne Ultimatum' director] Paul Greengrass, maybe years down the road, was interested in doing another one, then I would do it, too," he said. "I don't think either of us completely put the character to bed yet."This is the second time he has talked about how his return would hinge on Paul Greengrass returning and the 'years down the road' quote. From the outside looking in, it looks like Damon wants to move away from the character much like Bruce Willis, Slyvester Stallone and Arnie have done for a few years in the past with other iconic characters. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if it was as much as nearly ten years until we see Damon as Bourne again, ala Live Free or Die Hard. Of course after taking over $400 million worldwide, Universal will be knocking down on both Damon and Greengrass' door sooner rather than later I would think, or possibly even ditch the pair to carry on the series like the James Bond franchise. It's making too much money for them to sit and wait.
