Mickey Rourke lays the smackdown on Nicolas Cage

This is a much better fit. Mickey Rourke has replaced Nicolas Cage as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in The Wrestler says Variety. Filming begins in January and out of all the projects Aronofsky has been linked with this year, strangely this is the Indie drama he decided to make next. No word on why the change of actor but from the outside looking in, out of the choice between Cage and Rourke... I know who I can imagine as a wrestler. Hell, this is a guy who in his early career become a pro-boxer. This is the guy built like a frikkin' superhero. The guy who didn't need to be cast as Marv in Sin City, he was Marv!

It's not going to be hard to picture Rourke as an down and out wrestler who 'Rocky Balboa' style is tempted back into the ring, even though one more match could very well kill him.
