The marketing campaign so far for Warner Bros' upcoming Joker stand-alone movie has been pretty brilliant. The first character reveal was inspired, the first trailer was excellent and the lack of over-selling has been a breath of fresh air. It's like they want fans to create their own hype after the unpleasantness with Jared Leto's Joker.

And now we know there's a new trailer coming too.

Thanks to 6 mini clips released on Instagram, we know that said trailer will be releasing on August 28th. The hint was cleverly cut into the clips and then pieced together by an intrepid Redditor revealing the subliminal messaging.

If you're looking for hints of when on Wednesday it will arrive, it's probably going to be the morning. While it's unlikely we'll see it released on a morning TV show - this is an R-Rated film after all - the first Joker trailer arrived in the morning, so there's precedent.

The clips in themselves are of interest as they show some new footage, including of Robert De Niro as Murray Franklin, who might as well be his exact character from The King Of Comedy and there are also some new looks at Joaquin Phoenix's super weird Arthur. He climbs in the fridge. It's a vibe.
