New Prometheus International Poster May Contain Spoilers

Our guess is when buying a Prometheus poster to display, it won't be this one. Still it doesn't kill the excitment any.

The new Prometheus International poster has arrived and in a collection of perfectly released marketing from the film so far from 20th Century Fox, this one really drops the ball. The negatives with this poster is it looks a mess. I'm not sure of the scales of both Prometheus and the alien craft in the final film but Prometheus seems awfully big in this shot to me. As always with movie posters of late, the photoshopped faces of the film's stars look downright odd (especially Charlize) and there's something about the action-ness of this image just just doesn't feel like the rest of the marketing campaign, which I guess is intentional, so not to scare away the part of the audience who aren't after a thinker. As for the positive view, this poster may very well reveal some details about the much teased crash in the film and that it may leave us with more survivors than originally thought. On the poster, six of the Prometheus crew are wandering away from the explosion, (or are the three at the back chasing the three at the front - like this scene can't get dramatic enough!) which hints that if this really does depict a scene from the film, the big event could very well take place earlier in the film than expected with more crew to be picked off within the downed alien vessel as they venture in to root around the 'Derelict', original Alien style. Also, why no Fassbender on this poster? Is he not a big enough star yet? Is David lost to us by this point in the film? Will he become the first Alien as we know them to look? Or does he get taken apart Bishop style? Or maybe he's just simply still on the alien ship as is gets taken down by Prometheus? Either way, this brings us one step closer to the film's release and while I sit here listening to the soundtrack for the umpteenth time today (it's sooo good - check out the track called 'Weyland' all you Alien fans) this movie feels so close it's almost painful. UPDATE: Also in this new Indian Prometheus featurette check out all the snippets of new footage including a reveal that 'The Face' is actually a full head and not against a wall at all but in the centre of a room. I've never been so excited about seeing the back of a head but it's awesome, right?UPDATE #2 Also in Prometheus news, the new Cools Light advert (??? don't ask me why) features a shot of the Snake/Alien/Thing bursting out of a downed crew members helmet. Does this thing take out multiple members of the Prometheus crew? Anyway, that's all for now. Digest all this Prometheus goodness for now. There's bound to be more tomorrow.
