Call it a tale of two characters, but it is the best of times to be a Captain Marvel fan.

This week sees the release of MCU's Captain Marvel movie, but before we get to that, Warner Bros have dropped the final trailer for the OG Captain Marvel, Shazam!

The trailer release has been anticipated for a while now, and thankfully it does not disappoint. It carries with it the same humorous but knowing tone that we've seen throughout the marketing, with a number of brilliant gags and meta-moments, alongside some great superhero action. There are a few moments, but arguably the best is a fight sequence in a store, where it drops a wonderful Batman reference.

As you can see for yourself in the trailer below, the titular character picks up a Batman toy and throws it at villain Dr Thaddeus Sivana, shouting "Get him Batman!" while doing so (it comes at around the 1:30 mark). The marketing has already shown this movie is taking a different kind of approach to the shared universe idea, with a much more playful style, and this continues that in the best possible way.
