"No fake boobs" in Disney's historically accurate (?) PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4

By Matt Holmes /

Maybe this is why the infamously flat chested Keira Knightley walked the plank on the "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"... As per a Disney casting note for a swimming scene (yup, that's big music number, showy "Chicago"/"Nine" director Rob Marshall for ya) in Hawaii, with regards to audition requirements...

"beautiful female fit models. Must be 5ft7in-5ft8in, size 4 or 6, no bigger or smaller. Age 18-25. Must have a lean dancer body. Must have real breasts. Do not submit if you have implants."
Disney famously "painted" fuller breasts on Knightley each day during 45 minute make-up sessions on POTC. This a Disney franchise, remember. NY Mag follows-up
"In the last movie, there were enhanced breasts to give that 18th-century whorish look, and men were pretty well padded too, and no one worried," a former casting agent said, as reported by the Post. "But times are changing, and the audience can spot false breasts."
Same thing happened with the poster materials for Disney's 2005 movie "King Arthur", where Knightley's breasts were seen as vital to the bottom dollar. And then the NY Post;
...they warn that there'll be a "show and tell" day. To make sure LA talent scouts don't get caught in a "booby trap," potential lassies will have to undergo a Hollywood-style jiggle-your-jugs test and jog for judges. If there's nothing moving from the waist up, they're saying, it's a dead giveaway that you're not all flesh and bones€”and you're out.
Does that include star Penelope Cruz or is the test just confined to extra's? Ah, I'm sure Penelope's game anyway. Haven't you seen any of her recent movies, she can't wait to get them out! Also, seen as though Disney are suddenly so concerned with historical accuracy; are we not to expect CGI sequences or white-teeth in the new movie? Anyway we do have some serious Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides news as Jerry Bruckheimer confirmsGeoffrey Rush's Captain Barbosa will return for a fourth outing (which we've been telling you for years but the trades wouldn't) and he clarifies Cruz's role in the new movie (as expected, basically the new love interest in the absence of Knightley)...
"She plays the daughter of Blackbeard. She€™s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she€™s so feisty a little romance between Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays€.
Blackbeard is to be played by Ian McShane; and I like the dichotomy. It hints to Blackbeard knocking up a mediterranean lassie during his younger sea-faring travels, and hopefully they will go with the estranged father/daughter sub-plot.
