... according to The Wrap and that's fine by me. The more this new movie is different from what has gone before, the better. The still untitled 3D Spider-Man movie (which could be titled 'The Amazing Spider-Man', 'Ultimate Spider-Man' or more lamely 'Spider-Man 3D' when Sony eventually decides) begins filming next month under the direction of Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) from a James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) screenplay. Cast looks like this; Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Emma Stone (as Gwen Stacy, apparantely the one love interest here), Rhys Ifans (The Lizard), Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben) and it seems Sally Field (Aunt May). Better cast than I expected, I'll give them that.
