Robert Rodriguez has revealed that Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas from his previous film Once Upon a Time in Mexico COULD well end up with roles in Sin City adaptations. Speaking to MTV, Rodriguez said.... " was interested in doing the Jackie Boy character that Benicio played , but he was doing that movie 'Libertine' in Europe and it just kept getting pushed and delayed and went right through our shooting schedule.... ....But there is a better role for him in ['Hell and Back']. I kept going, 'Gosh, Jackie Boy is a small part, he could be really good .' When he wasn't available, I thought maybe it was meant to be." Rodriguez says that Sin City 3 would be based on the graphic novel story To Hell and Back, which has the character of Wallace. Depp is absolutely perfect to play the character, get him signed! Rodriguez went on to talk about Antonio Banderas.. "When I showed him the first sample of the work, he went, 'Man I'll do anything in that. I'll be the hunchback. You have to bring me onboard, that looks amazing........So Frank met him that time too and he said, 'I have got to find something for that guy. I've never met him before. He's amazing.' looking at the cast of characters and to see where he can fit." These two guys would be great for Sin City. Especially Depp. I love what Rodriguez did with him in Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and that look the character gives when he is driving his car.... is right out of Sin City. No word yet on whether Sin City 2 or 3 will be shot back to back as previously speculated but it does seem filming isn't too far away. source - coming soon, mtv
