One hell of a casting.

Often referred to as "Marvel's Batman" - though the character has gone on to be one of Marvel's most multi-faceted and identifiable over time - Moon Knight is going to be played by Oscar Isaac in the already-confirmed Disney Plus TV show.

The news comes by way of Deadline, who note the project is still on the lookout for a suitable director, but has tapped Umbrella Academy's Jeremy Slater as lead writer. A whole other talking point is where in the now-fairly-jumbled MCU timeline "Mr. Knight" could drop, as the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 still need to find a home.

Back to the movie and though Moon Knight is without any scheduled dates to start filming, the character is definitely something a veteran like Isaac can sink his teeth into.

A mercenary with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Marc "Moon Knight" Spector has been everything from a millionaire to a cab driver, exploring various facets of life through differing hierarchal lenses.

Disney Plus' Moon Knight will also be a part of the MCU, but with so little to work with other than core castings and our lead writer, it's all to play for as to how the character - and Isaac - fit into Marvel's wider framework.
