According to the reactions that have hit the web, directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer have overseen a genuinely scary adaptation that will feed the needs of horror fans looking to be scared. And more impressively, there's repeated mention that the film is one of the best Stephen King adaptations ever made.

That might not seem like THAT much of an achivement, but when you consider the company it would keep at the top of the ladder - including It, The Shining, Misery, The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption - that's no mean feat. Let's hope that those reviews are not just empty hyperbole.
