Is Ted 2 more than a pointless sequel? You probably know the answer...

Blockbuster season is in full swing, but don't think that just because of this the cinematic standard is going to slip, putting style over substance. Yes, it happens, but in this instance, the lowest-rated major release of June sits at 31% on Rotten Tomatoes, which, given the horrid likes of Taken 3, Mortdecai and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 in earlier months, isn't bad at all. Six major movies this month scored more than 80% on the Tomatometer, with both blockbusters and indie fare going over well with critics, a sure relief for any film buffs looking for a little variety among their cinematic diet. Though most films in June pretty much lived up to expectations, sadly not everything got to quite where it should've been, but even so, not a single film was flat-out terrible, which is hugely encouraging and pretty uncommon. As for next month? The big-hitters include Magic Mike XXL, Terminator Genisys, Minions (following an early international release), Ant-Man, Trainwreck, Pixels, Southpaw and Mission: Impossible €“ Rogue Nation. With Genisys already racking up terrible early reviews, it looks like that one will be pretty low down on the pecking order. But for now, here are June 2015's movies ranked from worst to best...
