I might get shot down on this one but I actually like the trailer for Repo Men quite a bit and it's just shot up on my must see list of 2010. I had totally forgotten this film even existed. Previously titled Repossession Mambo, I remember writing that it had a similar plot to Darren Lynn Bousman's rock opera Repo a few years back and maybe because of that, Universal didn't wanna distribute it and have waited a while before giving it a release. Finally, they have put faith in first time director Miguel Sapochnik's vision and proclaimed an April 2010 opening. Jude Law and Forest Whitaker star as a pair of contracted killers (officially surgical operatives) who reclaim organs for a company called The Union, when the recipient of anything from a liver to a heart transplant, cant make a payment. Whether it's an organ out of necessity to stay alive or simply for aesthetic beauty, the result is the same if you can't make your payment. The movie is set in the near future, and I guess, maybe an exaggerated vision of Obama's new health care bill!!! Red-banded trailer follows, boobies, blood, cockney accents (curiously only Law and not Whitaker too) and all...

Sure, I can understand the arguments I'm reading from those who are dismissing the film online. It does go down the well taken Minority Report path of the highly trained specialist who goes on the run from the organisation he worked for because he has become a victim of his own corrupt system but that kind of irony character dissection is always fascinating, I feel. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
