Set pics from IRON MAN 2! Downey Jr, Cheadle & Gary Shandling!!!!

Jon Favreau is a few days into filming on Iron Man 2 and already the set of his sequel is being stalked rigorously by fanboys, the press and the unemployed, with nothing else better to do, just like it was two years ago. Back then, such close scrutiny into what he was doing eventually yielded in the shutting down of IESB for most of a day when they posted a video of the movie's final battle. Didn't hurt the box office in the end though did it Paramount, your movie only grossed $582 million worldwide, with another fortune on DVD and the catalyst for a blockbuster franchise. But anyway... A site by the name of Spoiler TV have some snaps from the set, the first showing Robert Downey Jr. in full Tony Stark pose, even chomping at the bit of a cigar! First appearance of Don Cheadle, stepping into the shoes of Terrence Howard in the role of Jim Rhodes... Comedian Gary Shandling was also spotted. According to /film, he is playing a character by the name of Senator Stern. And it turns out, despite every website on the planet discussing it today (well apart from us as you will notice we didn't), it turns out IESB's rumor that Gary Oldman, aka Commissioner Gordon was boarding Marvel's franchise was completely false. Iron Man 2 will apparently begin just where the original left off, with that press conference where Tony Stark has admitted he is indeed Iron Man. Shandling's Senator will be part of this sequence. Director Jon Favreau is a keen user of Twitter and only an hour ago updated with... How cool. I would expect lots more from the set over the coming days/weeks.
