Spider-Man's Cameo In Captain America: Civil War Has Already Been Shot (And It's Tiny)
Plus lots of recent rumours.
in an interview with Vulture) that the web-slinger's appearance in Captain America: Civil War (his MCU debut) has already been shot and that when they go check out the footage at Marvel Studios they "might even get to look at the Spidey suit." Now the obvious news here is that Tom Holland has already filmed his first scenes as Peter Parker (it was reported a month or so ago he'd spend about a week on the set of Civil War), but there's another major bombshell in Goldstein's words. He "might" get to see the suit, which means that we're unlikely to see much actual Spidey action. Compared to the initial reaction to the Civil War announcement and Spider-Man coming over to the MCU, which led everyone to think Peter Parker would play an integral role similar to his one in the comic, this news means his appearance in the Captain America sequel is really little more than a cameo, a taster ahead of his standalone film. If he's not actually going to be playing a key part in the film's plot, that's probably for the best, although you can imagine a lot of fans will be disappointed by that. Captain America: Civil War will be released on 29th April, 2016 in the UK and 6th May, 2016 in the US. The Spider-Man reboot will hit cinemas on 28th July, 2017.

No doubt this will be updated for the stand-alone movie in 2017 to something more like the classic iteration of the suit though. Then came a bizarre, but allegedly true, cast list for the 2017 movie, including Billy Zane as Vulture, Jason Biggs as Scorpion and Hugh Laurie as J. Jonah Jameson. Ballsy casting to say the least, but let's wait until it's confirmed before we lose our sh*t (although the fact so much of the supporting cast are around high-school age there's more than a whiff of truth to it). After all that, though, we finally have something a bit more concrete. Jonathan Goldstein, who will along with Vacation co-director Francis Daley be writing Jon Watts' reboot, has confirmed (
