This gives us something definite to look forward to amongst all the forced comedy scenes.

"Huh? What?? When was he not going to be in?!" we hear you shout, as the very idea of Stan 'The Man' Lee not being in a Marvel film would be as crazy as Zack Snyder directing the Justice League mov...oh hold on. Of course check out the link to get the scoop on who's heading up DC's answer to The Avengers, but over on the Marvel side of life we got a great surprise today and a reverse of January's initial announcement that Stan would not be featuring in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy - by confirming exactly the opposite. Those keeping check of the way The Generalissimo (it has to be done) does things will know that he only cameos in the movies based on characters he had a hand in creating, and although his original comment on the matter was that Guardians " group I create. I didn't write Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm not even sure who they all are. I can't wait to see the movie" (somewhat echoing the thoughts of many who have seen the trailer and remain lukewarm on the whole affair), just today we received quite the contrary:
"I did, already" says Stan from the C2E2 panel, as reported by Variety. "I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl - a very pretty girl - that's all I can tell you."
Of course super-intelligible Marvelites know that Stan had a hand in creating the character Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), allowing his reasoning for being included to stay intact - but as for that "pretty girl" in question... Who do you think it is?
