STAR TREK trailer now available, well for some anyway

By Matt Holmes /

Some say CLOVERFIELD only made $40 million on it's opening U.S. weekend because it played with the debut of the first STAR TREK teaser trailer. And although I've always disputed that claim if QUANTUM OF SOLACE opens massively this weekend, then I think it's safe to say J.J. Abrams has got the geeks chomping at the bit for Trek XI and he may well after all just have enough of a legion of fans to make good on Paramount's huge $150 million investment. Trek Movie have what they call "the facts" regarding the trailer which you can see now in the U.S. playing with some prints of QUANTUM OF SOLACE (reports from screenings say not all cinema's were showing it).

Features voice-overs of Bruce Greenwood (Pike) and Ben Cross (Sarek) Music is not from the Michael Giacchino score, but edited by Giacchino from Brian Tyler€™s score for Children of Dune New USS Enterprise is seen (in construction on land and in space), but the recently released USS Enterprise image is not from the trailer Will be available at apple.com and startrekmovie.com Monday morning at 10AM Will be featured on Entertainment Tonight Monday evening Trailer for Watchmen also premiering with Quantum of Solace We previously linked to the very spoilerific description HERE. One wonders, with all the great music they must have in the TREK fault, why they chose to use a score that has nothing to do with the series. Anyway if you see the trailer or a link to the bootlegged version, make sure you let us know.
