Star Wars: 10 Strongest Female Characters Of All Time
These women are one with the Force, and the Force is with them.
One of the best aspects of the Star Wars universe is the sheer amount of characters and creatures who inhabit it. From Artoo to Kaytoo, Jedi to Sith, and Abyssins to Zygerrians, it's a vast, varied world.
It's given us some truly memorable characters, though the one point it fell down was its women. Sure, Princess Leia was wonderful, but that was it for the Original Trilogy, and the most prominent in the Prequels was Padmé.
However, the new movies are purposefully addressing this, with the two Disney-owned offerings giving us a pair of great female leads. But excellent, powerful Star Wars females existed before then too.
From canonical works like The Clone Wars, to the many stories of the Expanded Universe (now Legends), Star Wars hasn't always put the women first, but it has nevertheless created some great female characters - and some who could take on the more famous Jedi and Sith.
When you think of powerful Star Wars characters, your mind turns to Palpatine and Yoda, or perhaps even Revan and Bane. It's a big list of dudes, basically, and it's time to give celebrate the women of Star Wars as well.
10. Shaak Ti
A Jedi General, Shaak Ti does appear in the movies - briefly in Attack Of The Clones, and in a deleted scene from Revenge Of The Sith - but doesn't really get a chance to show off her power. Instead, it's in The Clones Wars and the EU that we learn of most of her real power and exploits.
I could reel off a number of her exploits from during The Clone Wars and after the execution of Order 66, which included numerous battles against foes like General Grievous and Starkiller. But really, all you need to know is that she rode a !*$% rancor.
