The films that followed that terrific Force Awakens debut, though, unfortunately didn't really give this one-time-stormtrooper-turned-Resistance-fighter the chance to properly explore easily one of the most compelling backstories on offer in Episodes VII-IX.

But have no fear, because this list is here to finally shed a bit more light on a wise-cracking, courageous hero who still holds a special place in many Star Wars fans' hearts.

Sure, you're no-doubt fully aware of the reasons why this former First Order cadet eventually decided he was done fighting for the forces of evil. However, you likely never learned what Finn actually got up to during those early days as a young stormtrooper-in-training. And did you know exactly which person was responsible for the idea that ultimately grew into this eventual Resistance general?

Well, the answer to those intriguing FN-2187 questions and many more interesting details where it pertains to this 'Big Deal' are all about to be revealed...

10. He Was At The Centre Of A Pretty Cool Uprising In The Original Episode IX Script

While he would eventually lead a group of Resistance fighters into battle against the Final Order during the climactic Exegol battle in The Rise of Skywalker, Finn actually seemingly once found himself at the centre of another battle entirely in Colin Trevorrow's original Episode IX script.

After a piece of concept art was posted online by Collider's Steven Weintraub, one which depicted the former stormtrooper leader in what looked like a revolution on Coruscant based on the information found in the leaked Duel of the Fates script, John Boyega eventually added that this is very much the direction he thought Trevorrow was going to take the character in.

The British star was also quick to note how he felt this particular uprising, involving him waving a blue flag as he led a bunch of droids, citizens, and defected stormtroopers against the First Order forces, "would have been sick!" (via Yahoo!).

However, Boyega would then eventually reveal on the Happy Sad Confused podcast a few years later (via The Playlist) that he's still yet to read that leaked original text due to him no-doubt being left "heartbroken" by what could have been.
