Anyone holding out on the hope that Daisy Ridley's Rey will return beyond the supposed end of the Skywalker Saga probably shouldn't hold their breath.

The actor has spoken to BuzzFeed (via Star Wars News Net), to confirm that she's not coming back:

I mean, I can say I’m not in the next trilogy. No. I think, cause Rian always said…if it’s the Rian one…or it’s the guys that did Game of Thrones. I’m not sure. Whichever one it was, they always said it was going to be a separate story. So I’m not. No.

You shouldn't be surprised, but it's good to have a clarification all the same. After all, both trilogies were always talked about as entirely new stories and it's widely expected that the DB Weiss and Benioff show will be set in the time of the Old Republic, so it's not like it'd even be possible for her to appear.

At the minute, there's some question over Rian Johnson's trilogy even happening too, but his story was also packaged as a whole new saga set apart from the Skywalkers. Sure, there may be references to them if it's a legacy show, but tying too closely to it would be a mistake.

So yeah, no Ridley and no Rey.
