Vader! Darth Vader! Here! And, er, some other stuff happened.

The big takeaway from the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer was of course the last few seconds, which gave us a glimpse at the back of the returning Vader's helmet, confirming (for anyone who hadn't already heard) that he was back in action in Rogue One, and giving anyone who didn't attend Star Wars Celebration a first look at him.

However, there was a heck of a lot to love in the 1 minute 55 seconds before Vader appeared, assuaging any fears that may have lingered after all the reshoot talk. This is still very much a Star Wars film, and one that places the emphasis firmly on the second part of that title. It has Stormtroopers, spaceships, and talk of the Force, but there's also going to be a lot of boots on the ground action here, and it looks pretty incredible.

We were teased more of the battle on beach planet Scarif, saw more of Donnie Yen's blind spiritual warrior being a total badass, had some awesome Death Star shots, and Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso stared down a f**king TIE Fighter. There was a lot going on (and a lot to love), but with plenty of action, characters, and new locations, also a lot you might've missed.

11. Arrival On Jedha

The trailer opens on a new location: the planet Jedha.

The name of the planet was only recently revealed (and there's no actual reference to it in the trailer), but that is what we're seeing here. As things currently stand in the galaxy, Jedha is effectively the home for anyone and anything connected to the Force; Jedi may be all but extinct, but this is where people come who still believe in it, making it a Jedi Mecca.

Looking at it, you can clearly see those Middle Eastern influences on it, with the market towns and desert sands, but Star Warsified thanks to the spaceships and that big temple, which seems to be pretty important (it appears in a number of shots), and looks a bit like a Jedi Temple.
