STOPPING POWER is back on
Jan de Bont's kidnap thriller is back on again according to actress Melissa George will filming to begin in March.
Stopping Power has been resurrected for the second time in a month, and the third attempt to bring the movie to the big screen will now take place in March of next year. Maybe the Jan de Bont thriller has found financial backing from elsewhere or they are just hoping to have a deal in place by next year, but it's actress Melissa George and her optimistic comments on the film when speaking to Coming Soon which suggest they will try again in March...
"Its back on! First of March. Three days into filming, we were in Berlin, they cancelled the film. It worked out so good, because Im busy doing other things, and I could come back to shoot HBO and Im going away next Christmas, and then the strike happens next year, so Im going to go away in March and do this. Look, anything can change, but its on. It has to be on."The movie will see John Cusack on the hunt for his kidnapped daughter (Melissa George) who has been taken by the evil Jason Isaacs. The film will be Jan de Bont's first in four years since Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life... if it actually goes ahead this time.
