Just one day after making an appearance at Sunday's Night's MTV Movie Awards, Jamie Foxx was spotted on the streets of New York City last night filming scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The above image is our first glimpse of Foxx playing the villainous Electro in Sony's upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man sequel. The image of a blue version Electro confirms previous speculation that the villain would not be the typical "green and yellow" suit-wearing baddie, but would instead be closer to the "Ultimate" version of Electro, who for a while looked more like the image above. The Django Unchained actor looked pretty sinister on set during filming, cloaked in a hooded jumper with veins throbbing through his bright blue neck. Opening May 2014, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sees Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) juggle a busy life-style of taking down bad guys in between spending valuable time with those he loves and tackling all the burdens that comes with high school graduation. And as if his schedule wasn't busy enough, a new super-villain on the block emerges in the form of Electro, too, leaving our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man with more than enough on his plate. His superpowers will cause Peter Parker plenty of problems in the upcoming sequel. A freak lightning accident caused his alter-ego Maxwell Dillon to be endowed with superhuman feats of strength and speed, allowing him to glide over power lines and even ride on lightning bolts. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to open in theaters on May 2, 2014.
