The Eye see's trouble in October and moves to February

By Matt Holmes /

October is the traditional month of Horror. It's usually the month when the biggest horror movies are released each year but with the total domination of the "Halloween" season with franchises like Saw, many studio's are getting scared and choosing a different month to showcase their horror flicks. This is why Rob Zombie's Halloween has the strange release date of August. Now comes word that the remake of the Hong Kong horror flick The Eye which stars lead Jessica Alba (oh dear) along with Parker Posey and Alessandro Nivola has been bumped from it's October 12th release date, all the way to February 1st 2008. Of course, this should have always been the case as The Eye is from Lionsgate just as the Saw franchise is, so having two of their same movies fighting it out against each other just didn't make any sense anyway. The Eye is the first Hollywood flick from the directing duo David Moreau and Xavier Palud who helmed the "ok" French horror flick Ils (Them).
