The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug hits cinemas in a couple of months and if it feels like its sneaking up on you like a light footed burglar thats because up until yesterday we only had one teaser trailer to get us excited for Peter Jacksons return to his return to Middle Earth. Since hitting the internet less than twenty four hours ago millions of people have checked out the latest trailer which has overshadowed the imminent releases of fellow colon and abstract subtitle sequels Thor: The Dark World and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Two and a half minutes long, this trailer (more so than the teaser in June) restores faith to fans who were a little let down by An Unexpected Journey. A middle entry that has to justify being created mostly in the editing suite, Desolation continues the adventures of Bilbo and the thirteen dwarves attempting to reclaim the Misty Mountain where they run into elves, spiders and the up until recently sleeping dragon, Smaug. Check out the trailer below before clicking next and getting the low down on just what awesome things weve learnt from it. Now youve seen that, onto the obsessive analysis. Be warned, there will be spoilers for a best selling, seventy year old childrens book. Tread carefully.
