And if Jon Favreau gets his way, Beyoncé Knowles will be getting the run of Pride Rock alongside Donald Glover's Simba in his reimagining of Disney's The Lion King.

As Variety reports, the singer is the director's top choice to voice Simba's childhood friend and eventual love interest Nala in the movie, which would be pretty Flawless casting as the movie gets in formation. After all, she's already a Queen...

As per their story, Beyoncé hasn't made a decision on whether or not to take the role yet, due to the fact she's currently pregnant with twins. However, the fact it's a voice acting role makes it easier, and Variety note Disney are prepared to do whatever necessary to accommodate her schedule.

Despite being almost unthinkable given how beloved the original is, The Lion King remake is sounding better and better. Favreau proved what he can do with an animated classic with the Jungle Book, and he's already got Glover and James Earl Jones (Mufasa) onboard, with the film reportedly being fast-tracked into production.

As for Beyoncé , this would be her first film role since 2013's animated Epic. Hopefully this one will fare a little better, if she does take on the role anyway. If not, it may end up being the best thing we never had.

Do you think Beyoncé would be a good fit for Nala? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
