For such a power-player in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino doesn't make films all that often - the director himself has stated he intends to only make three movies in any given decade. So that The Hateful Eight is arriving only two years after Django Unchained is a miracle akin to Jules and Vincent's bullet dodge. The fun doesn't stop there though - it looks like we're actually going to be getting two films in one go (sort of); in an interview with Variety, QT revealed that he's editing The Hateful Eight differently for 70mm when compared to the standard digital release. Not only with the high-quality format boast an "overture and an intermission", but there'll be more extended takes, leading to approximately six minutes more movie. I'm sure there'll be no major differences in overall quality between the two versions, but this reveal has made up my mind as to which format I'll be catching The Hateful Eight in - got to see everything in its most complete form.
