There's Some Tiny Avengers Cameos In The Latest Ant-Man Posters

Calls in Iron Man, Captain America and Thor for help.

A key reason why people aren't quite getting behind Ant-Man like they do other Marvel Cinematic Universe is how disconnected from the wider world it seems. The MCU is all about the interconnectivity, but this film, sandwiched between big-hitters Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, feels like something that's only there because the studio sunk too much money into it when Edgar Wright was on board that to not finish it wasn't an option. So, aside from the obligatory "From the studio that brought you..." tags on the trailers, Marvel hasn't really tied Ant-Man into the wider world. But that's all changed for these new posters. Featuring Paul Rudd's titular shrinking hero stood on Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer and Iron Man's suit respectively, they say rather brazenly to fans that the lack of Avengers link is "No problem" for the film. It's always cool to see elements of the Avengers, but there's no shaking the feeling this is a reaching effort to drum up hype for a film that might actually best served as a stand-alone experience (see Guardians Of The Galaxy). You can check out the posters for yourself below. Let us know what you make of them in the comments. Ant-Man is out on July 17th, and there's pretty much guaranteed to be more to talk about between now and then.
