Universal are said to be showing the most interest in M.Night Shyamalan's mysterious new script, which we know now is a sci-fi version of Taken, with Bradley Cooper as a father on the hunt for his missing daughter who uses supernatural powers to help him find her. We reported last week that Shyamalan had been shopping the script around studio's with the tightest of security.Gwyneth Paltrow and Bruce Willis are also loosely attached. Deadline are adamant to point out that no deal with Universal is actually close, and non-studio backers have also shown interest. Shyamalan's career has been slowly dying of a film reel choke hold ever since The Village in 2004, and his last movie The Happenning, lest we not forget, was a movie about killer wind! Though we are encouraged by Bruce Willis' attachment, as neither Shyamalan and Willis (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable) have been the same since they stopped working with each other. Shyamalan's next movie, The Last Airbender, opens July 1st in the U.S.
