I've said it before and I will say it again, I hated the idea of a Bond restart. Unbelievably though I'm now slowly (and I must say it's at a snail pace) starting to warm to the idea somewhat.

I still think it's the wrong way to go but as long as they don't remake any of the early movies then it might not be so bad. I still think they are pissing on the Bond legacy somewhat, just like J.J. Abrams wants to piss on the Star Trek legacy but my resistance is pretty much futile. Anyway, the good folks at CHUD have got yet another interview, this time with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli who has kindly hinted at what happens after Bond begins.... At the end of this film theres unfinished business......Its clear in this story that theres someone out there. In fact theres a line at the end of the book Casino Royale where Bond makes a decision that hes going to take on this task, hes going to become a warrior and try to find the hand that holds the whip. The big menace out there, the man who manipulates people and gets them to do evil things. Thats very much the spirit of the book and thats the direction were going to continue on. So it does seem like their will be a Blofeld type character in charge of an evil organisation that will be the menace of Bond for the first few movies of this new continuity. I did love that in the early Bond movies, that their was a higher power who was only hinted at from the beginning but whom Bond would eventually have to face. I wonder if we see hints of the character like Blofeld in From Russia with Love. Hey what if the villain is actually Blofeld, might be hard for the producers to resist putting him in their with the character being so iconic. Just over a week away now from Casino Royale, we should probably know a little more about what the future holds for 007 then. source - CHUD
