The newly released second international trailer for X-Men: First Class is a unquestionable home-run - the first that really feels like the film belongs in the same family as the original trilogy. There's lots of new footage, a great deal of focus on the relationship between Xavier and Magneto and then a massive hint that the Cuban missle crisis of 1962 is going to be the main thrust of the final act. Clearly the film is going to tell us that President John F. Kennedy and the world at large had the mutants to thank for stopping an apoclaypse that World War III would have brought. I'm now ready to bow down to director Matthew Vaughan.... June 1st can't come quickly enough.
