As teased by Bryan Singer's Twitter earlier today, Marvel and Twentieth Century Fox have released a brand new trailer for upcoming comic book movie event X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Offering far more story detail than the previous trailer, the trailer shows more concretely that Wolverine's mind will be sent back in time to his younger body (as happens to Kitty Pryde in the comic book version of the story) - there's also explicit mention of fallen comrades, and hints at a lot of emotional turmoil in what looks to be one of the most exciting movie prospects of recent times. There are some big moments in the trailer, from the two Professor Xaviers meeting each other (though presumably that is only in mind, and not physically,) to Kitty Pryde showing off her ability to help other mutants phase through obstacles, and the irresistible hints of some incredible set-pieces, such as a large scale Sentinel attack, and some mutant subterfuge by Magneto and his rogue team. If there are to be any criticisms, it still looks like the effect that transforms Colossus from man into metal has been ported directly over from Terminator 2, without any progress, but that is a minor concern, considering how much of a punch the trailer packs. The film, which unites cast members from both X-Men movie franchises is set for release in May, has also had a new poster released... X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is released by Twentieth Century Fox Film Company nationwide on 22 May 2014
