10 Insanely Hard Xbox Achievements You'll Never Unlock
Could you play a game for 14 hours straight without dying?
Achievements can be challenging, funny, clever, and unexpected. Admittedly, despite it sometimes taking some Herculean efforts, its always satisfying to 100% a game - at least until you realise how much of your life was taken up doing so.
However, some games contain achievements that are so specific, so difficult or so overreaching, that they pretty much make it impossible to even come close. One single achievement can be so unreasonable that it ruins any chance of being obtained, and every achievement collector has those games that remain uncompleted for this very reason.
The following are merely a handful of just such achievements; goals that are so strenuous, burdensome, and/or pointlessly annoying that virtually no one has unlocked, with the exception of the very few crazy enough to dedicate enough time and effort to do so.
10. Fallout 4 Benevolent Leader
One of the hot new features in Fallout 4 is the building and maintaining of settlements, and one of the challenges that comes with this is keeping the citizens of these settlements happy. "Benevolent Leader" is the achievement you unlock when you successfully do this with a large settlement, which sounds easy enough. Oh, if only that were true.
Instead, it requires quite a bit of finagling and pre-planning to get the job done. You cannot leave or fast travel somewhere else, as that will almost always cause happiness levels to go down. Essentially you have to spend hours in real time at one settlement, micro-managing everything so that the happiness levels keep increasing. Needless to say, it is tedious work.
The fact that this task requires so much foresight and investment makes this achievement pretty annoying, especially if you are unlucky enough to encounter any glitches or bugs that then render all your efforts worthless. Its just no fun, making this one of the least earned achievements in Fallout 4.
