10 Legendary Games Nintendo Must Bring To Mobile Phones

They can't sign this deal and NOT include Pokémon... right?!

Nintendo is famously protective of its intellectual properties, as aside from some very poorly received Legend of Zelda titles released on the Phillips CD-i back in the 90s, the Japanese company has largely restricted its various franchises to its own hardware. However, the gaming industry has changed a lot in recent years, and Nintendo€™s market position is now under threat from rival consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the rise of mobile gaming. Nintendo perhaps had the latter in mind when it decided to announce a new partnership with Japanese mobile company DeNA last month, and while no games have yet been officially announced, the collaboration suggests it might not be long before we see Mario and co. on our smartphones. Although initially dominated by casual games, puzzlers and copycat titles, the mobile gaming market is continuing to develop. Smartphone hardware has advanced to such an extent that fully-realised 3D graphics are easily possible, opening up the handheld market to the kinds of titles previously only possible on consoles and PC. The growing competition from smartphones coupled with the struggles of the Wii U mean that it€™s hardly surprising Nintendo has made this decision - now the company must decide how best to use its back catalogue. In fact, Nintendo have a huge number of franchises that with some slight tweaking would work perfectly on mobile platforms, regardless of whether you€™re an Android, Apple or Windows Phone fan. What would be your pick?
