The recent reveal of Xbox One (X1) and the PlayStation 4 (PS4) has created much chatter around the water-cooler, to say the least. Talk about their respective system specifications, design or what bells and whistles they come with has got people in the gaming world all hot and bothered, especially when comparing the two. Thankfully though, all the hype has not taken away from the fact that thanks to the hardware these bad-boys are packing and the games we have upcoming make us vibrate in our seat from sheer excitement. Updated graphics is only one aspect of what makes us excited over next-gen games, considering we can now experience and interact with them like never before. Oddly enough though, the unintended effect of this is that the games that are now on the way to current-gen consoles are making far more ripples than expected. It seems that developers finally have gotten around all those technical difficulties that used to plague consoles, making porting games difficult (especially for the PS3). Either that or they are trying to squeeze every last ounce of capability from the consoles as one final sendoff. In any case, the result is that we are seeing a calibre of games we actually expected to see only in next-gen consoles. This then, is not a list purely a list of next-gen titles announced (considering the fact that most of these games are coming out on both current and next-gen consoles). It is rather, a compilation of games, regardless of platform, that we simply can't wait to be released. And that brings us to...
