You may or may not have heard, but developer Xaviant has a survivalist, Battle Royale-style game in the making. With it recently undergoing a successful alpha-test, The Culling pits sixteen contestants in a tropical-styled arena. As soon as the clock begins ticking down, it€™s every player for themselves, giving off a really cool Hunger Games-like vibe. Whilst it currently remains in Steam Early Access, the game already runs surprisingly well and looks visually beautiful. Xaviant has already outlined their aims for the game for the rest of this year, with a full release planned for early 2017. The basic concept of the game involves the aforementioned sixteen players and a slew of weapons scattered across the map, and as the clock begins ticking down, you€™re forced to kill off the competition. The Culling has hosted a closed alpha session, with players able to sign up on the eighth of March. It already offers addictive gameplay that PC gamers (no word on a console version) will really enjoy. Here are ten reasons why The Culling is an awesome game you really need to be more excited about.
