As the 18th of November draws closer, Pokemon fans are getting more and more excited to play the newest game in the series, Sun and Moon. I know I am!

After the global success of Pokemon GO, all eyes are on the Pokemon Company’s latest project, and personally I'm hoping it will bring classic Pokemon gaming back to the same soaring level of popularity the likes of Blue and Red achieved all those years ago.

Sun and Moon are set to be some of the biggest 3DS games in 2016, and the marketing campaign has been huge, reeling off all sorts of new Pokemon and unique features, hopefully reigning in both hardcore fans, newbies, and those looking for something to play following the demise of PoGo.

New 3DS consoles, makeovers of classic mechanics and complete format changes are only some of the new, exciting things present in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Let us know in the comments where you stand, and what you're most looking forward to!

10. Poke-Rides

Trainers in Pokemon Sun and Moon will be able to call on Pokemon that aren’t in their party to transport them, through the sky, sea, or land.

A recent trailer showed a Charizard taking the protagonist through the sky, a Tauros running him across the land, and a Sharpeedo taking him through the water.

The exact mechanics are still to be explained, but they will hopefully make having Pokemon in your party that know HMs unnecessary. Some sacrificial lamb will probably still have to learn Cut and Strength, but the Fly, Surf, Whirlpool, and Waterfall HMs may become obsolete, and to be honest, good riddance.
