10 Unanswered Questions From Resident Evil 7
So many answers, so many questions.
Resident Evil 7 has been in the hands of salivating fans for a little while now, so what better time to look at the many plot threads the series' latest entry leaves hanging?
The long-awaited franchise resurgence appeared to shift away from much of the lore from previous games while introducing a wealth of new ideas, but ultimately, it also found a way to tie into the classic Resident Evil mythology that's left a lot of fans scratching their heads.
Answers will inevitably arrive in due course, either through the wealth of DLC planned for RE7, or the inevitability of Resident Evil 8 in two or three years' time.

10. What Happened To Lucas?
Many fans were surprised that, after the Happy Birthday section of the game, Ethan doesn't in fact have a showdown with Lucas.
Instead, he doesn't re-appear for the rest of the game. So, what exactly happened to him and where did he go?
The Likely Answer: We hear a radio transmission near the end of the game state that Lucas disappeared through the mines (also evident by the traps he set there), and considering the game hints that he was working with Umbrella, he was presumably either picked up by Umbrella operatives or simply disappeared into the night on his own.
Either way, expect to see more of him in some upcoming DLC, and it would surprise roughly nobody if he showed up again in Resident Evil 8.
