The good news is that if you already own an Xbox One, you needn't upgrade to a Scorpio to enjoy the latest and greatest exclusives Microsoft have to offer.

Of course, their recent decision for every new Xbox One game published by Microsoft Studios to also be available on PC under the "Play Anywhere" initiative means that bonafide Xbox One exclusive titles are basically a thing of the past.

As such, this list will instead cover console exclusive titles that appear under the Play Anywhere umbrella, and won't be releasing on PS4 or Wii U. From tantalising new IPs to old favourites and a certain indie shooter with Game of the Year potential written all over it, if you're an Xbox One player, these games need to be on your radar.

Here are 13 upcoming Xbox One exclusives you must consider...

13. Crackdown 3

Release Date: TBA 2017

The Buzz: The long-awaited follow-up to 2010's Crackdown 2, this third game has built considerable buzz on the basis of its cloud-based destruction engine.

During online play, gamers will be able to cause persistent city-wide destruction with more detail than ever before, as Crackdown 3 won't merely be pulling resources from your Xbox One, but also from a farm of servers, allowing up to 20x more power than a single console.

It's a fascinating idea albeit one that rightly has a lot of people skeptical, namely whether Reagant Games can pull it off, or if technical hiccups could sink it right out of the gate.

If it reaches its full potential, however, this could be a landmark title that makes cloud-based rendering a constant moving forward.
